A light sun protection oil for the body with SPF50.

The formulation is fluid and silky, absorbs without being sticky or leaving a film, and gives the skin a natural, slightly golden glow. Buriti oil, cold-pressed from the fruit of the buriti tree, is rich in beta-carotene, essential fatty acids and antioxidants - it nourishes the skin and is also responsible for the warm skin feel and glow. Sunflower oil provides vitamin K and linoleic acid, which support the skin barrier. Vitamin E has an antioxidant effect and helps the skin to deal with oxidative stress from UV exposure.

Anwendung

Apply generously to the body about 20 minutes before going out in the sun and massage in gently. Reapply every two hours, sooner after swimming, heavy sweating or drying off with a towel.

LeRub was founded in Antwerp in 2022 by siblings Kim and Raf Maes - out of a concrete frustration: they had tried all the sun protection products on the market and couldn't find a single one that felt good and provided honest protection. So they made their own. As a former make-up artist and Head of R&D, Kim is responsible for the formulations, while Raf is the brand builder and manages the brand. Made in Italy with Mediterranean ingredients.

Ingredients

Buriti oil Cold-pressed from the fruit of the buriti tree, a bright golden oil from the South American rainforest. Rich in beta-carotene (a precursor of vitamin A), essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Supports skin elasticity and helps the skin to deal with oxidative stress - relevant after UV exposure.

Sunflower oil Naturally rich in vitamin E, vitamin K and linoleic acid. Supports the skin barrier, soothes and is easily absorbed without being greasy.

Vitamin E antioxidant that helps the skin fight free radicals. Helps to soothe and strengthen the skin barrier, especially after UV exposure.

FAQ’S

How does the oil differ from the body lotion?

The lotion is the classic, grounded choice - creamy, nourishing, good for the first application before sun exposure or for drier skin. The oil is lighter in consistency and gives the skin a subtle glow - the more obvious choice if skin feel is important to you or you prefer to wear sunscreen like a moisturizer rather than a sunscreen.

Does the oil stain clothing?

Buriti oil is naturally orange-gold in color. Immediately after application, allow 10-15 minutes for the oil to absorb before getting dressed, especially with light-colored clothing. No discoloration is to be expected after absorption.

How often do I need to reapply?

Every two hours when exposed to the sun. As the oil is not waterproof, apply sooner after swimming, heavy sweating, sport or drying off with a towel.
