This 100% mineral daily sunscreen provides optimal broad-spectrum protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays while helping to prevent signs of photoaging and sun-induced skin damage. Its lightweight, non-greasy texture blends hydrating ingredients, antioxidant protection, and nourishing oils to strengthen the skin barrier and deliver a fresh glow – with a semi-matte finish and no white cast.

Application (AM):
Apply generously to cleansed, dry skin on the face, neck and décolleté as the last step of the morning routine. Reapply throughout the day as needed, at least every 2 hours.

What is the difference between mineral and chemical sun protection?

Chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays and convert them into heat, which is then released through the skin. Mineral sunscreens, on the other hand, contain natural UV filters such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide that sit on the skin’s surface and reflect and scatter harmful rays.

Mineral filters are especially well tolerated, as they do not irritate the skin barrier. They are ideal for sensitive, reactive, or blemish-prone skin and provide reliable broad-spectrum protection – without harsh ingredients.

Why does Solar contain zinc oxide?

Zinc oxide is one of the most effective mineral UV filters, providing protection against both UVA and UVB rays. As a physical filter, it forms an invisible protective layer on the skin, reflecting the sun’s rays instead of absorbing them.

The zinc oxide filter used in Solar is non-nano, meaning it stays on the skin’s surface and is especially gentle – even for sensitive or blemish-prone skin. At the same time, it offers reliable protection against sun-induced skin aging and helps support a healthy, balanced skin barrier.
