A mineral sunscreen for the body with SPF50.

Non-nano zinc oxide forms a layer on the skin that reflects UVA and UVB rays. Carrot juice provides vitamin A and vitamin E, grape ferment and calendula provide further antioxidants - they help the skin to deal with oxidative stress from the sun. Glycerin binds moisture so that the sunscreen does not have a drying effect. The texture is light, absorbs quickly and leaves no sticky film or white haze. Reef-friendly formulation.

Apply generously to the body before going out in the sun. Mineral sunscreen works immediately, you don't need to allow any application time. Reapply every two hours - sooner after contact with water, as it is not waterproof, and also if you sweat heavily. Most people use too little; a sufficient amount for the whole body of an adult is about six tablespoons.

LeRub was founded in Antwerp in 2022 by siblings Kim and Raf Maes - out of a concrete frustration: they had tried all the sun protection products on the market and couldn't find a single one that felt good and provided honest protection. So they made their own. As a former make-up artist and Head of R&D, Kim is responsible for the formulations, while Raf is the brand builder and manages the brand. Why we recommend it

Ingredients

Non-nano zinc oxide Mineral broadband filter against UVA and UVB radiation. Lies as a fine layer on the skin and reflects the radiation. Non-nano means that the particles are too large to penetrate the skin or the bloodstream.

Carrot juice Rich in vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene) and vitamin E. Has an antioxidant effect and helps the skin to regenerate after UV exposure. Also helps to retain moisture in the skin.

Glycerin Draws moisture from the environment and from deeper layers of the skin to the surface and keeps it there. Softens the skin and ensures that the sunscreen does not dry out.

FAQ’S

What is the difference between SPF30 and SPF50?

The SPF number is a factor: SPF30 extends your skin's own protection time by a factor of 30, SPF50 by a factor of 50 - if applied correctly. This is the critical point: if you apply too little, forget to reapply or do not reapply, you will not achieve the specified protection factor, regardless of whether you use SPF30 or SPF50. In addition, the SPF50 version contains more antioxidants from carrot juice and calendula - relevant on days with strong sunlight.

How often do I have to reapply?

Every two hours when exposed to the sun. As the sunscreen is not waterproof, apply sooner after swimming, heavy sweating, sport or drying off with a towel.

Can I also use it on my face?

It is primarily developed for the body. For the face, we recommend our Everyday Sunscreen SPF50 - lighter, tailored to facial skin and with vitamin C to combat pigmentation spots.
